
Whole Wheat Herb Bread
2 Tbsp. Dry Yeast
1-1/2 Cups Water (110-115 F)
3 Tbsp. Sugar
2 Cups Whole Wheat Flour
1/3 Cup Dry Milk
1/2 teas. Salt
2 teas. Watkins
Caraway Seed
1/2 teas. Watkins
Nutmeg
1/2 teas. Watkins
Sage
2 Tbsp. Watkins
Original Grapeseed Oil
1 Egg
2-1/2 Cups White Flour
Proof yeast in warm water and sugar. Add whole wheat
flour, milk, salt & herbs & beat 50 strokes. Add oil, egg & beat 75 strokes.
Stir in white flour, turn onto board and knead. Let rise in buttered bowl, covered, until
doubled. Punch down and form two standard loaves. Let rise until doubled. Bake about 45
minutes at 375 degrees.
