Watkins Gourmet Stuffed Mushrooms
1 pound mushrooms -- medium
1 teaspoon Watkins
Onion Flakes
1/4 cup green pepper -- chopped
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 1/2 cups soft bread crumbs
1/2 teaspoon Watkins
Seasoning Salt
1 teaspoon Watkins
Italian Seasoning
1/4 teaspoon Watkins
Black Pepper
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Cut stems from mushrooms; finely chop stems to measure 1/3 cup.
Cook and stir chopped mushroom stems and green peppers in 3 tbsp butter until tender,
about 5 minutes; remove from heat. Stir in Watkins Onion Flakes,
bread crumbs, Watkins
Seasoning Salt, Watkins
Italian Seasoning and Watkins Black Pepper.
Heat 1 tbsp butter in shallow baking dish until melted. Fill mushroom caps with stuffing
mixture; place mushrooms, filled-sides up in baking dish. Bake 15 minutes. Set oven
control to broil and/or 550 degrees. Broil 3-5 inches from heat 2 minutes. Serve hot.
