Sour Cream Apple Squares
2 Cups All Purpose Flour
2 Cups Firmly Packed Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup Margarine or Butter, softened
1 Cup Chopped Nuts
1 teas. Watkins
Cinnamon
1 teas. Watkins
Apple
Bake Seasoning
1 teas. Baking Soda
1/2 teas. Salt
1 Cup Dairy Sour Cream
1 teas. Watkins Vanilla, Original
Double-Strength
1 Egg
2 Cups Finely Chopped, Peeled Apples
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly spoon flour into
measuring cup; level off. In a large bowl, combine flour, brown sugar and margarine; blend
at low speed until crumbly. Stir in nuts. Press 2 3/4 cups of crumb mixture into ungreased
13x9 inch pan. To the remaining mixture, add the cinnamon, apple pie spice, baking soda,
salt, sour cream, vanilla and egg; blend well. Stir in apples. Spoon evenly over base.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes or until toothpick in center comes out clean. Cut
into squares. 12 servings.
