Pecan Tarts
Pastry:
6 Ounces Cream Cheese - softened
1 Cup Butter - softened
2 Cups Flour
Filling:
1 1/2 Cups Brown Sugar
2 Whole Eggs
2 Tbsp. Butter - softened
2 teas. Watkins Vanilla
Pinch of Salt
1 Cup Pecans - chopped
48 Pecan Halves
Pastry:
Blend butter and cream cheese together. Stir in flour. Chill about 1 hour. Shape into 1
inch balls, press into UNGREASED small muffin cups on bottom and up sides, like a pie
crust.
Filling:
Beat together first 5 ingredients till smooth then add chopped nuts. Fill pastry cups, and
top with a nut half. Bake at 325 degrees for 25 min. Cool before removing from pan.
