
Herbed French Style Bread
3 Cups Bisquick™
3/4 Cup Water
1/2 teas. Watkins
Oregano
1/2 teas. Watkins
Basil
1 Egg Yolk
1 Tbsp. Water
Heat oven to 400. Mix Bisquick™, water, oregano and basil
until a soft dough forms; beat vigorously 30 seconds. Gently smooth dough into ball onto
surface generously dusted with Bisquick™. Knead 10 times. Roll dough into 11x8"
rectangle. Roll up tightly beginning at 11" side. Pinch edges of dough to seal and
press in ends of roll. Place seam side down on ungreased cookie sheet. Brush loaf with egg
yolk mixture and bake 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
For Parmesan French Style Bread: Decrease Bisquick™
to 2 2/3 c.; mix 1/2 Cup grated parmesan cheese into Bisquick before adding water.
