
Black Olive Pizza
Sauce:
1-1/4 pounds / 568 g Roma or Plum Tomatoes, peeled, seeded and chopped
3 Tbsp. / 45 mL Watkins Garlic & Parsley Grapeseed Oil
1-1/2 teas. / 7.5 mL Watkins Liquid Garlic Spice
To Taste, freshly-ground
Watkins Sea Salt
To Taste, Watkins Black Pepper
Crust:
1 Package (7 oz. / 198 g) Watkins Whole-Wheat Thin Pizza Crust
Mix
1 teas. / 5 mL Watkins Rosemary
1/2 teas. / 2.5 mL
Watkins Basil
1/4 teas. / 1.2 mL Watkins Thyme
Toppings:
7 oz. / 198 g Sliced Mozzarella Cheese
1-1/2 teas. / 7.5 mL Watkins Thyme
20 Greek (Kalamata) Olives or other Black Olives, pitted and halved
Sauce:
Cook Sauce ingredients over medium heat until liquid has evaporated, about 40 minutes.
Remove from heat and cool while preparing crust.
Crust:
Prepare pizza dough according to directions on package and in basic pizza recipe but add
herbs to mix before adding water.
Toppings:
Place cheese on prepared dough. Top with tomatoes, thyme, and olives. Bake at 450ºF /
235ºC for 12 to 15 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Makes 6 servings.
