
Bacon and Cheddar Biscuits
2 Cups Flour
1 Tbsp. Watkins
Baking Powder
3/4 teas. Salt
1/3 Cup Vegetable Shortening
1/4 Cup Cooked Bacon, crumbled
1/4 Cup Cheddar Cheese, shredded
3/4 Cup Milk
Heat oven to 450* F. In bowl, combine first 3
ingredients. With pastry blender, cut in shortening until coarse crumbs form. Stir in
bacon, cheese and milk until just blended. On lightly floured surface, knead 10 times.
Roll out dough to a 1/2" thickness. With floured 3" biscuit cutter, cut out
biscuits and place on an ungreased cookie sheet, 1" apart. Bake 12-15 minutes until
golden.
