Apple Dapple French Toast Cobbler

Watkins Cinnamon is made from the sweetest part of the cinnamon bark.
That's why it tastes better! It's also labeled "purest" which means no fillers,
no twigs, leaves or bug parts.

Order Watkins Products

1 oz. French Bread Baguette
                 -heel removed
4 Eggs
1 Cup Milk
1/4 teas. Watkins Baking Powder
1 teas. Watkins Vanilla
2 Large Tart Apples - peel, thin slice
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
1 teas. Watkins Cinnamon
2 Tbsp. Butter -- melted

Cut the baguette into 1-inch slices and arrange slices in a 9" x 13" baking dish. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, baking powder, and vanilla. Pour the egg mixture over the French bread slices, turning each to coat completely. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and let stand until all of the liquid is absorbed, about 15-20 minutes.

Lightly grease another 9" x 13" baking dish. Place the sliced apples In a layer along the bottom of the pan. Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon over the apples. Arrange the soaked bread slices over top and brush with melted butter. Bake in a preheated 450 F degree oven for 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
