
Angel Hair Pasta & Chicken Soup
2 Quarts / liters Water
1/3 Cup / 80 mL Watkins Chicken Soup Base
1-1/2 teas. / 7.5 mL Watkins Garlic Granules
1 teas. / 5 mL Watkins Ginger
1/4 teas. / 1.2 mL Watkins Red Pepper Flakes
12 oz. / 340 g Skinless, Boneless Chicken Breast, cut into small strips
1-1/2 Cups / 375 mL Sliced Fresh Mushrooms
1/4 Cup / 60 mL Sliced Green Onion
4 ounces / 113 g (1/4 package) Angel Hair Pasta, broken into fourths
1 Package (6 oz. / 170 g) Frozen Snap Pea Pods, thawed and sliced diagonally in half
1 Jar (2 oz. / 57 g) Sliced Pimento, drained
Place water and next seven ingredients in soup kettle;
bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 6 minutes. Add pasta; cook 3 to 4 minutes longer,
or until chicken and pasta are done. Add pea pods and pimento; heat through. Serve
immediately. Makes 8 servings.
